India wants to kill all Kashmiri Muslims, but….

Water is fast emerging as an important source of regional conflicts now. Kashmir is a very important source of water which India controls creating obstacles for Pakistan getting their share of water by building illegal dams across the rivers passing through India. In the Indian-occupied Kashmir since 1947 Indian military troops have been using barbaric, terrorist tactics of extra-judicial killings, burning the houses, torture etc. to suppress the genuine freedom movement of the Kashmiris. Last year, discovery of nearly 1000 graves of the unmarked Muslims in the Indian-held Kashmir showed another evidence of Indian military terrorism. The ongoing different war between the Indian state terrorists and the Kashmiri people has proved without any doubt that such elements like ‘will to fight’ and ‘moral force’ have been more noted in the latter who have exerted psychological impact of causing fear, shock, mental depression and stress, resulting in demoralization of the Indian military and paramilitary troops.

When Indian forcefully annexed their lands and occupied them with brute terror forces, Kashmiris have taken the matter rot the world and world bodies, but till day only injustice is being administered to them by India and its terror-strategic allies; they witness only genocides and destructions by the occupying Hindu terrorists. The fact of the matter is that when Kashmiri people lost faith in the international community, which persisted in ignoring their liberation and when it became obvious that the Indian occupying forces would not vacate the controlled areas through political means, the peoples had no choice but to resort to armed struggle which was actually intensified in 1989.
Kashmiris have refused to surrender their sovereignty to India – come what may. Moral force, fighting power, the willingness to fight and the readiness, if necessary, to die is the crucial factor in determining the combat power of any belligerent. Kashmiri freedom fighters have proved yet again that moral factors are the precious metal, the real weapon. They did even after more such graves have been discovered recently. They are not afraid of Indians or fellow Kashmiri traitors. Reports suggest that these Muslims were tortured to deaths by the Indian army during custody. In fact, under the cover of various anti-terrorism laws of the country, Indian armed forces have committed multiple brutal crimes such as encounter killings, illegal custody, torture, forced confession, rape of women, corruption, robbing the houses, kidnappings etc. India has opted to live with demoralization of their forces and weakening of national identity because they like and relish Muslim blood.
Indian military forces kill Kashmiri Muslims, but they also kill themselves thanks to Indian wretched terror policy. In this regard, numerous cases of suicides among Indian troops—opening fire on their colleagues and several other tense reactions have been reported in respect of Indian forces in the controlled territories of Kashmir. Indian defence analysts and psychologists have attributed these trends to “continuous work under extreme hostile conditions, perpetual threat to life, absence of ideal living conditions, lack of recreational avenues, and of course; the home sickness due to long separation from families.” While other experts have pointed out that the growing stress in the Indian armed forces is owing to low morale.
State terrorists are keen only to kill people on some fabricated pretexts. No doubt, in any conflict zone, the cases of mental depression and stress are common phenomena, but in case of the controlled Kashmir, the trend has increased. It is because of this fact that that Indian armed forces have been so demoralized by fighting with the freedom fighters that either they commit suicide or kill their own colleagues and seniors. They know they are fighting an illegal war on alien lands and they completely lack ‘will to fight’ or ‘moral force.’ Nevertheless, India has also hired the services of counselors, and stationed psychiatrists close to its troops especially in the occupied Kashmir in order to combat stress that has driven many soldiers to kill themselves or fellow soldiers. Various security agencies of India, working in the Indian-occupied Kashmir have now not only engaged counselors and psychologists to combat stress among troops but have also found cure in meditation, music, exercises and yoga—all used as techniques against stress and mental disorder.
With the rise in the cases of suicide and fratricide in the Indian armed forces parliament was finally informed in 2009. In this connection, Defence Minister A.K. Antony revealed in a written reply in the Lok Sabha that of these, there were 48 cases of suicide and one of fratricide in the three services—41 suicides were reported from the Indian Army, six from the Indian Air Force, and one from the Indian Navy. He further disclosed that overall, there had been a staggering 495 cases of suicide and 25 cases of fratricide in the armed forces over the past four year.
Military thinkers of IST (international state terrorism) agree that although the physical force will determine the type and scale of war, yet it is the ‘will to fight’ or ‘moral force’ that determines the outcome of war. Despite the continued employment of various methods of state terrorism on the freedom fighters and the innocent protesters in the occupied Kashmir, Indian armed forces have been demoralized in crushing the war of liberation. In fact, present different war between the Indian occupying forces and the Kashmiri freedom fighters is simply a ‘clash of wills’ between two entities.
It is said the map of the world will soon contain nothing but large, giant entities. In view of the fact that they are no longer capable to face the challenges of globalization, the nation-state, that has become incapable of survival in the age of major challenges and fierce competition, will inevitably disappear. It seems Kashmir, Bhutan, Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh, the Maldives, Sri Lanka and India will all be subsumed in a future giant entity of the Indian subcontinent along the lines of the EU, African Union, and ASEAN. Its new component parts are the giant entities like the African Union, the European Union, the Commonwealth of Independent States and ASEAN. The states of the Indian Subcontinent will, of necessity, reunite to form such a giant entity. Therefore, the independence of Kashmir will not cause dreaded shockwaves it would have caused before the age of globalization.

At the appropriate time, Globalization seems to have aided the escalation of state terrorism. Talk of globalization is still on. Common interests now unite peoples of different religions, races and languages. There has been the talk of giant entities that will replace the nation states and make up the new world, will have its single army, security structures, single market, single currency, single central bank, and most importantly a single negotiating position with the other similar giant entities. It is argued the nation state will no longer able to negotiate the tortuous paths of the globalize world. This is the best solution for the peoples of the region who share the same destiny. The reactionary methods employed in the paths have brought those peoples nothing but tragedies and destruction.

Of course the course of future history can follow it sown process, but Kashmir issue need not be put on hold pending arrival of mega states. In this age of globalization, Islamic faith, language or ethnicity are no longer the ties that bind peoples. The emotional ties fade in comparison to common interests. One of the specific characteristics of Kashmir was its sale to a feudal dynasty under the British colonial rule. It is not in the religion, ethnicity or the common language that the solution will be found. Long live Kashmir as an independent sovereign state, home for all Kashmiris, Muslims and others. The introduction of religion into the Kashmir debate and imposing a Hindu as a deputy chief minister of JK is a clear proof of the lack of seriousness in dealing with the problem and its possible solution.

A sincere, serious and impartial attempt at resolving the question of Kashmir must not overlook the interests of the countries neighboring it. Those interests are rarely mentioned. They are cloaked in religious and other emotional considerations. The people of Kashmir must not be sacrificed on the altar of narrow, selfish interests. The states of the Indian subcontinent will have no future in the age of globalization unless they unite in an entity that will ensure their strength at a time when the nation state no longer has a place, even if it is as strong economically and technologically as Germany or France. Germany, France, and other European states can only survive within a EU that can withstand the challenges of globalization.
