US president Abraham Lincoln once declared none can fool the entire world for ever, but cricket mafias, by fooling entire cricket watching world, have disproved his theory and even called him a bluff.

This is in continuation of the write up under the above caption. I don’t know if this has even crossed the mind of any of you as to why test should belong for 5 days. History of Tests indicates that bulk of the Test is “drawn” by both teams on understanding either before or dung the course. When a match is drawn all the result are nullified and so are the so-called records. But the cricketers do not do that they keep their runs and wickets intact, though most of them are the outcome of the "fixing".

What is disastrous is the crude fact that the regimes themselves secretly promote match-fixing through their agencies. One wonders what could have been the results, if the Test were to be for 10 days or more. Obviously, every cricketer could have 100 plus runs without any complaints from one another. But why 11 guys should play and why not more or less persons?

And more pertinently, why both batboys and bowlers should both bat and bowl? When there is a clear cut departments of batboys, keepers and bowlers, why do they cross-border their lines and do what is not their field? In other world, batboys should have been assigned only bating and bowlers only bowlers. But what has been happening is simply ridiculous and mockery of cricket as a sport or entertainment.

This sort of cross-borderism has been promoted to "balance" the records, targets and outcomes.

So, a win-win situation has been carved out by Indo-Lanka in the Test-2. The ongoing Lankan-Indian Test-2 is clearly "adjusted" to "draw" and Sri Lanka has decided not to push for a win and offered enough "stuff" to Indian masters. However, a couple of them could not get 100 plus Manmohan Singh got a meager ZERO. It appears he threw away his bat in anger. Probably in the second innings or in the Test-3 all of them would then be compensated with good runs. But the second innings now is going to be too short for that.

Lanka-India Test-2 is like a fairly tale following a simple structure of take and give formula. The Lanka-India Tests are a part of global joint cricket exercises Indian has spearheaded religiously. India believes only match fixing can provide Indians with what the mafia and IPL “giants” and their media seek. They have spent 4 days distributing the “resources” almost evenly. The Test-2 is heading for a “draw” but the cricketers have got what they wanted in 200s, 100s, 50s, etc. Cricket mafia gets what it desires any where cricket is played. Tendulkar is simply amazing in making the opponents also play for him without hurting him any way and he threw away his bat only after 200. Raina was offered an excellent debut ton to remember. If a batboys could not get his 100 then a couple of wickets were arranged for them (Dilshan, Shewag, etc). Poor Dhoni’s fate is hanging just like the Indian/British parliaments. He thought he also would be offered a 100 plus if not 200 plus. But he could not be let go beyond 50 plus, But considering his recent past this number is not bad, many would admit.

Match fixing has come to stay for ever as long as cricket is played and even slight modifications would not change the alarming crickety situation of “rankings and records”. It seems the Test-3 could be in favor of Lankans, since the Lankans repaid the India guests with great sympathy.
